Aggravated Assault

“Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon is a second degree felony. Nearly any object can qualify as a deadly weapon depending on how it is used, including guns, knives, vehicles or metal poles. In one case, our client was charged with aggravated assault by using a motorcycle helmet! A misdemeanor assault-family member charge can become a felony Aggravated Assault on a Family Member if a deadly weapon is alleged to have been used during the commission of the offense, or if serious bodily injury resulted.”
